Treating Thrush

Treatment can be quite straightforward. Use anti-fungal products that contain active ingredients such as clotrimazole. Choose from oral pill, pessary or cream. These products all treat your infection, but different people prefer different treatment options. External thrush creams will help to soothe your symptoms such as itching.

First-time sufferers

Visit your doctor the first time you have thrush – that way you’ll get the correct diagnosis and you’ll be able to recognise your own symptoms in the future.

Inside and out

Just treating the itchiness with thrush cream won’t get rid of your infection so don’t forget to treat your thrush at the source, with oral capsule or vaginal solutions, such as soft gel pessary. Learn more about treatment options here.
