Canespro® Once-Daily for athlete’s foot and other fungal infections.

What are the symptoms that Canespro® Once-Daily can treat?

Feeling itchy and uncomfortable because of fungal infections? It’s time to try Canespro® Once-Daily. This fungal infection cream is especially convenient to use, since it only needs to be applied once a day.

Canespro® Once-Daily is a broad spectrum antifungal cream that resolves a variety of fungal skin infections. These include ringworm, athlete’s foot and jock itch.

The active ingredient in this fungal infection cream is bifonazole, an azole compound effective against fungi, moulds, yeast, gram-positive bacteria (Corynebacterium minutissimum). This allows Canespro® Once-Daily to destroy fungal cells and stop the spread of infection more quickly, and using less applications versus other commercially available athlete’s foot, ringworm, or jock itch creams.

Fungal skin infections cause rashes, itchiness, and sometimes pain or a burning sensation. They may also cause fissuring or cracks in the skin.

Canespro® Once-Daily can relieve all these symptoms and keep them from coming back, fully resolving the infection with proper use and upon completion of the course of treatment.

An anti-inflammatory without steroid, Canespro® Once-Daily also treats the inflammation that may occur with fungal skin infections. Inflammation results in redness, scaling, and possibly even blisters.1

Bifonazole can resolve fungal skin infections in how many days?

As a fungal infection cream, Canespro® Once-Daily has made antifungal treatment easier and faster for those experiencing these burdensome symptoms.

While other fungal infection creams in the market require twice-a-day applications for 2-6 weeks,2 Canespro® Once-Daily has reduced applications to once per day over just 2-4 weeks.

Here’s how you can use Canespro® Once-Daily to treat common fungal infections:

Athlete’s foot

Athlete’s foot gives you smelly feet, and soft, white, split skin between the toes. It also comes with dryness, scaling, cracking in the heels or soles, and an unpleasant itch and burning sensation. Severe symptoms include blisters and inflammation where the skin cracks.

Despite the name, anyone can catch athlete’s foot from contaminated surfaces or skin-to-skin contact. If you have this condition, Canespro® Once-Daily can soothe the itch and help the symptoms recede.

The duration of treatment with Canespro® Once-Daily to address athlete’s foot is 3 weeks.

Ringworm

Ringworm isn’t caused by a worm, but by fungi. Because of its round shape with raised edges and a clear-ish center, the rash may resemble a worm perched on your skin. It’s scaly and itchy; and in severe cases may cause blisters, multiple rings, and pus-filled sores. It can spread and grow larger, so this needs immediate treatment.

The duration of treatment with Canespro® Once-Daily as a fungal infection cream to manage ringworm is 2-3 weeks.

Jock itch

As the name suggests, jock itch happens in and around the groin. It causes a continuous and pesky itch, along with a burning sensation, cracked or flaking skin, red or brown patches, and a rash with raised edges. Wearing tight underwear or bottoms increases the risk of getting jock itch, as the fungi that brings about the infection thrives in warm and moist environments.

The duration of treatment with Canespro® Once-Daily as a jock itch cream is 2-3 weeks.

Is bifonazole the equivalent of steroid treatments?

Bifonazole is an anti-inflammatory without steroid.

This helps particularly in the case of ringworm, when steroids are contraindicated.3 Not only can steroids make the lesion larger, but also infect deeper skin layers. In terms of anti-inflammatory efficacy, bifonazole has been found to be comparable to 1% hydrocortisone,4 a corticosteroid one can find in other athlete’s foot and jock itch creams.

Can Canespro® Once-Daily treat skin fungal infections in children?

Clinical data suggests that there is no indication of harmful effects in children though it is always best to consult with the little one’s pediatrician or a dermatologist prior to application.

For younger children (toddlers and infants), Canespro® Once-Daily can only be used under medical supervision.

Can it be used to treat vaginal yeast infection as well?

Canespro® Once-Daily is not a fungal infection cream recommended for the treatment of vaginal yeast infection, or candidiasis. For this condition, it is best to use: Canesten® Gyn 6 day Therapy Vaginal Tablet. Please consult a healthcare professional for further advice.
